The Sec & Derivatives Sr Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities:
  • • Supervise a team of 3-5 to handle daily settlement activities in various markets;
    • Leading the team to deliver first class service to our priority client, and understands very well on client's requirement;
    • Proactively provide solution and step-in to help team members until the problem resolved;
    • Support ETF business, review operating guideline and discuss with business on implementation;
    • Liaise with agent banks, brokers, CGM sales & trading desks, customer's back offices and other CGM global offices to follow up any potential fails prior to settlement date;
    • Relay unmatched items to oversea offices and trading desks for resolution so as to avoid any failure or buy-in for Asia Pacific markets domestic transactions;
    • Based on existing Ops system to perform pre-matching for Equities or Bonds transaction in various markets traded by various CGM entities;
    • Issue adhoc / manual instructions for exceptional items to our agent banks for Asia Pacific markets and any Euro / Latin America products;
    • Assist in following up various projects related to AP Global Markets Operations;
    • Ensure proper segregation of duties and controls in each function;
    • Ensure processes are completed in compliance with Firm's policies;
    • Work with Manager / Supervisor on project implementation and UAT.


Qualifications:
  • • 5-8 years working experience for APAC markets settlement including Japan, Australia & New Zealand, European / US markets.
    • Good knowledge on various APAC products including equities, FICC products, ETF.
    • Ability to work under high pressure and meet tight deadline,
    • Team player possesses leadership skills,
    • Self-motivated individual who is an experienced problem solver,
    • Must have good command of both verbal and written English.


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
