The Business & Regulatory Change team is a function of the regional COO Office and is responsible for creating and maintaining the overview of the regional Business & Regulatory Change portfolio and the subsequent sequencing, business analysis and delivery of initiatives in close partnership with product areas, O&T and control function partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead the detailed analysis working with Front Office, Product, Control functions and Infrastructure teams in order to understand the changes necessary due to (a.) Local and Cross-Border regulatory changes; (b.) changes to Citi's internal policies and procedures; (c.) Business growth initiatives
  • Work on multiple projects or programs (potentially a combination of tactical and strategic programs) by defining the necessary implementation plans and establishing the appropriate governance and managing them on an ongoing basis
  • Lead and manage Steering Committees identifying, managing and escalating issues, risks and dependencies as appropriate, while working with the various teams in order to define necessary solutions and mitigation plans
  • Develop and lead robust change plans to include internal & external communication plan and training plans
  • Develop Business requirement documents as well as test scripts (as required)
  • Ensure changes are transitioned to the relevant teams in a sustainable manner ensuring the necessary enhancements are made to the control framework
  • Act as an internal consultant, working closely with relevant partners, in order to quickly understand issues and help lead the identification, definition and implementation of the solution


Experience/Skills:
  • Expertise in Private Banking domains with good front to back knowledge through the various functions (e.g. Front Office, Middle Office, Operations - Clearing & Settlement)
  • In-depth experience of defining and working on significant change (particularly regulatory change) programs across the lifecycle, including analysis, systems implementation, process change and controls and communications and training. Please not this is not a technology role
  • Demonstrated ability to digest and understand implications of complex regulations on business models
  • Any experience working on the launch of new products and services an advantage
  • Experience of working in a consultancy, preferred
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Digital initiatives, core banking system implementation, data

  • Demonstrated ability to digest and understand implications of complex regulations on business models
  • Able to operate at the appropriate level, understanding the detailed concepts while also understanding the "big picture"
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge of Private Bank
  • Must be able work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design
  • Willingness to challenge and improve existing processes
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind-set
  • Self-starter and a strong team player
  • Demonstrable expertise in building and leveraging relationships.
  • Comfortable presenting to and working with senior management
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present the articulate key points to senior management
