Job Description

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is responsible for delivering Technology solutions to Citi's Global Functions organizations. GFT's mission is to optimize Citi's IT environment by driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of applications, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, that reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and that create a competitive advantage for Citi. The Global Finance & Risk Technology Group (GRCT) within GFT supports a diverse range of business partners such as Compliance Risk, Commercial Risk, Retail Risk, and other lines of defense.

The Applications Development Group Manager will own the end-to-end processes surrounding CCAR stress testing within the GRCT Retail Risk Technology organization. This role will lead the development and refinement of lasting solutions using Python and Java to meet critical business and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will closely interact with Retail Risk business and other technology stakeholders responsible for CCAR stress testing processes, and will excel in organization, program management, problem solving and guiding partner understanding with strong communication.

This is a senior management level position responsible for managing and delivering the Retail CCAR stress testing Book of Work through the management of a global team in an effort to establish and implement new or revised application system analysis and programming in coordination with the Technology Team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver the Retail Risk Technology CCAR stress testing Book of Work, ensuring alignment with Retail Risk strategy and goals.
  • Manage 10+ workforce globally ensuring strong team performance and employee talent pipeline
  • Ensure adherence to Citi standards on program delivery, compliance, process management, risk and controls
  • Manage all ongoing regulatory committed deliverables such as Corrective Action Plans and critical regulatory commitments
  • Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
  • Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a large financial institution
  • Experience in applications development preferably in more than one technology disciplines supplemented with business, functional and people management
  • Experience in managing global technology teams with diverse backgrounds, complex platforms, and multiple or conflicting objectives
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
