Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Portfolio Senior Officer for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Establish and enhance concentration risk framework, work with all levels of Risk Management across risk streams, products and business units in developing effective risk analytics and oversight capabilities. Specific responsibilities will include: Review concentration metrics, limits and thresholds across various risk types in Citi, i.e., credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk. Work with risk Subject matter Experts to identify emerging and material concentrations, and ensure effective concentration risk management and control within Citi. Apply advanced financial mathematics theories and utilize sophisticated quantitative techniques to perform complex model analysis on stress testing and risk capital models within the new enterprise concentration risk management function. Review, understand and challenge analytical methodologies, and create appropriate tests and scenarios ultimately used to identify, quantify and manage concentration risk within Citi. Collaborate with Citigroup Subject Matter Experts from business, risk management, the Quantitative Risk and Stress Testing group, reporting team and Citi's risk governance team to establish enhanced risk analytics platforms for enterprise level concentration risk management across risk types to address regulatory and risk management requests. Evaluate the feasibility and applicability of existing and newly developed analytical tools in the context of enterprise level concentration risk management. Review and challenge model methodologies, implementation requirements of concentration risk metrics, and relevant governance configurations. Work with the methodology owners and relevant stakeholders on credit, market, liquidity risk and stress testing models, analyze correlation results and the statistical significance of variables, and assist in implementing sophisticated stress testing approaches using computer programming skills. Coordinate with Risk Management across products and lines of business and perform impact assessment, trend analysis and exposure profiles summaries. Conduct statistical data analysis and analyze, validate and document portfolio changes. Calculate and dimension impact of final results through the utilization of advanced database techniques and programming skills.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering (any field), Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Quantitative Risk Analyst, Risk Manager, Risk Analyst, Governance Program Manager, or related position at a global financial services institution. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in the stated fields and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the stated positions. 3 years of experience must include: Credit, Market, Operational, Liquidity Risk Management, including concentration risk, risk governance and risk management processes and relevant regulations; Applying mathematical finance theories and techniques (quantifying financial risk, valuation of financial products, market price simulations, stress tests and portfolio profit and losses estimations, capital requirement calculation, including regulatory capital and internal economic capital); Distribution analysis, time series analysis, statistical testing, and scenario analysis; Programming skills Python, SAS or C++; Technology infrastructure and reporting framework for the implementation of analytical solutions; and SQL database skills to process large datasets.
