The Product Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible to ensure superior product delivery and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs and market development. The overall objective of this role is to manage all regulatory and operational aspects related to FPI due diligence, renewals, etc. on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities: - Ensure superior product delivery and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs and market development
- Considered a Subject Matter Expert within his/her product area
- Manage ongoing regulatory and operational aspects of the product
- Contribute to new product development and product strategy
- Contribute to drive industry changes with industry and regulators based on business and client needs
- Responsible to managing new registration of foreign portfolio investors (FPI) and reviewing that SEBI due diligence requirements are adequately followed
- Screening of clients that can be on boarded by Citi as a custodian/designated depository participant
- Intricately understand the client structures across various jurisdictions, type of entities, ownership structures, amongst others
- Identify cases that require further review and escalation including within business, compliance, legal as may be required and perform necessary additional due diligence
- Ensure superior delivery and quality of information
- Considered a Subject Matter Expert for market entry and all registration related aspects
- Manage all regulatory and operational aspects related to FPI due diligence, renewals, etc. on an ongoing basis
Key Deliverables:- Ensure end-to-end and timely delivery of new and renewals of FPI registrations in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal processes
- Looked upon as a Subject Matter Expert by internal team members
- Contribute to regulatory change management
- Contribute to advocacy efforts with regulators, infrastructures and other market participants
Skills: - 5-7 years or relevant experience
- Knowledge of industry and competitor products/services
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance environment
- Excellent analytical and rationalization skills
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be a good team player
- Ability to work within critical timeframes
- Ability to balance uncertainty with acceptable risk
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Passion, being self-driven, client focus, willingness to adopt change
Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
